From cuddling to administering care treatments or helping out in a care or wildlife teams we have lots of hands-on volunteer vacancies that you could get involved with.

As a practical animal care volunteer, you will be provided with training and equipment to ensure you are able to carry out the duties without risk to your health. Therefore, we require a commitment from you to volunteer regularly.

Volunteer & Student Placement Roles

Animal Care Assistant L1

Role Type: Volunteer/Students

Department: Animal Welfare

Hours: Part Time/Full Time

Location: Cross House, WA9 3YH

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Care Assistant L1 to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support for the animals in our facility. This role involves assisting with feeding, grooming, cleaning, and monitoring the well-being of the animals. The Animal Care Assistant L1 will also work closely with veterinary staff to ensure all animals receive necessary medical attention and treatment. Additionally, the role may involve interacting with potential adopters and providing information about the animals in our care.

APES Donors Moderator

Role Type: Volunteer/Students

Hours: Part Time/Full Time

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a moderator for our online animal lover community. As a moderator, you will play a key role in facilitating discussions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment, and helping to raise donations and funds for our rescue center at APES.

APES Call Handler

Role Type: Volunteer/Students

Hours: Part Time/Full Time

Location: Remote Working

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Call Handler. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, answering incoming calls, assessing their needs, and directing them to the appropriate department or personnel. Your ability to communicate effectively, problem-solve, and utilize IT systems will be crucial to ensuring a positive customer experience.

Volunteer Accreditation & Certification

We like to help not just animals but people, that is why we provide upskilling, with certification available to purchase. Also, we provide our own certificates to help volunteers show potential employers their experience.

Be An Animal Care Foster Carer

From cuddling to administering care treatments we have lots of hands-on volunteer vacancies that you could get involved with.

As a practical animal care foster carer, you will be provided with training to ensure you are able to carry out the duties without risk to your health. Therefore, we require a commitment from you to come into the center regularly, and be available for visits from our center animal care director.
