Although we try our best to give an animal the best chance to get back to good health, we do sometimes need to use the euthanasia route. 

We only do this in the following situations and each situation is assessed individually. 

• If the animal is in pain and not able to be controlled, causing the animal a slow and painful death. 
• If the animal has an un-operable health condition that has a quality of life implication.
• If the animal is injured and assessed to be non-recoverable.
